Dynamic content

When designing to a CMS system, we have to consider many different combinations. Because the users have different needs, positions won't show unless you publish anything in them.

Positions have been given logical names. (top, bottom, footer, breadcrumb, flash) Also, the content has a 3 column dynamic layout. You can publish as many modules you like in any position.

Admittedly, this is not a perfect template. But as a experienced webdesigner, I kinda know my customers and what they wan't! Custimization, is a keyword! Emagine that you can change colors of buttons and links. Set backgroundimage individually on menu items (Up to 10). Change font sizes and choose between a large number of Google fonts. Also you can tilt the entire design left or right.

Layout

  • This template has a unique fluid layout. The lowest supported resolution is 1024px x 768px. Lucky enough, nearly all screen resolutions are way higher, and laptops are almost all in widescreen. That actually was my inspiration to do this template, in a widescreen layout. Although, keep in mind setting font size to xx-large, will make some content exceed its borders, in low resolutions.
  • When choosing a CMS for your business, you want one, that handles SEO correctly. Joomla has build in SEO URLs, and unique meta title and keywords for each page. Read more links ,can be customized to include keywords.
  • This template is SEO optimized. So all joomla headings are changed to H1.
  • Also you can paste your Google Analytics Code in template parameters. No need to add code!

Speed

  • Instead of using the build in Mootools, we use Google Libraries API, to load jQuery. A better alternativ to Mootools. This saves your visitors for 3 extra HTTP Requests. (By unsetting Mootools by default).
  • Plus, there's a good chance your visitor, has already downloaded the jQuery file from google, if so this will save the user from yet another HTTP Request. Ultimately making your page load faster.
  • HTTP Request are made, every time a user requests a website, for each file the website contains, there must be 1 request to the server, simply to get the file. A lot of files is equal to many request, ultimately making your site slow. that's why this template, has as few files a human possible. The more functionality, the more files.
