The page requested was not found!
About this page:
Instead of using Joomla! build-in 404 error screen. The D3 template allows you to make your very own 404 error page. This is really good for usability. Since the user, is not redirected to a error screen off page. But stays on the page, and get the error page in the content field. This way the navigation is still avaliable to the user, and they might not leave imidatly, as they would if they were only met by a 404 error screen.
How is this done?
Start by creating a "new article". Name it: "404 Page not found". Then make a "new menu item". Select "Single article" and make sure it points to the new article: "404 Page not found".
SEO urls:
We create the "menu item", with the sole purpose of getting a unique URL for the "404 Error page". If you didn't specify the Alias of the menu item, it will have generated a Alias like this: "404-page-not-found". If you have SEO URLs turned on, then the full link to the 404 page for this page is: "http://www.d3signated.com/404-page-not.found.html".
The above URL is then pasted into the template parameters, found in the template manager!
Go to: Extensions > Template manager > d3 (Click it) > Scroll down to: "Advanced parameters". Paste the URL into the 404 Page textfield, then save!
And your done!
